Creator Dominique Ropion gave birth to this vintage perfume in 1991 calling it Amarige which in French is an anagram of the word marriage. This however, is exactly the theme of the perfume as it celebrates the long ties of committed love, unshaken lust for each other and unhindered loyal trust that keeps a happy marriage afloat and progressive. Taking nuances from these happy moments, the cheerful fragrance focuses on the beauty of natural extracts that will blend together to give this fragrance it’s much deserved character, depth and density.
The top note starts with Brazilian rosewood and orange blossom essence backed by neroli and mandarin orange, violet, plum and peach extract. This is further on followed by the middle note laid on a bed of ravishing floral accords. Rose sets the tone for sensuality as the carnation, orchid, tuberose, gardenia, jasmine and mimosa follows through. Also present in the heart layer is the black locust flower in ylang-ylang, cassia, black currant and red berry essence.
For the base, tonka bean, musk, amber, vanilla, cedar and sandalwood compliments the surrounding wooden accords thereby bringing this empowering fragrance to a stop.
